I am a senior at Lake Forest College pursuing a dual degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. My research interests are in mathematical machine learning, applied algebraic geometry, and algebraic statistics.
My current focus is on the use of commutative algebra and machine learning to approach problems such as combinatorial optimization, model identifiability, and complexity reduction. My bachelor's thesis explores a geometric deep learning approach to developing a novel heuristic for Gröbner basis computation, through optimizing selection strategies with PPO RL.
I am currently preparing to apply to PhD programs in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics for Fall 2027.
Currently
Summer '26: I am working as a research assistant, exploring a tensor geometry approach to model compression. I am also a member of the Computer Vision Research Team at AbbVie, working as a result-driven Machine Learning Engineer.
